Pretty in Pink

Fiona continues to rest most of her day.  She is on some pretty heavy meds that I'm sure are making her a little drowsy.  She is very comfortable though, she isn't licking or scratching too much..  If she does start to lick, I have a soft e-collar that I pop on her for a little while.  It's important that she not introduce more bacteria to her skin from her feet and mouth..so, between the e-collar, t-shirts, baths and meds to keep her more comfortable, I think he skin is going to heal pretty quickly.
We're looking forward to seeing more improvement after bath #2 tomorrow!

The boys like to visit her in her lair from time to time.  She isn't confined to her crate all the time...I don't have to zip it closed because she actually prefers her little home.  She knows it is just hers and I think she finds it very cozy.

Mindi (La Dolce Vita Rescue) let us know that we can get some cute tees for Fiona at Ross for cheap, so I ventured out to the Santa Ana Ross yesterday around lunchtime and was AMAZED at the line in that store!  I wouldn't expect anywhere to be so packed in the middle of a weekday.

But it was ALL worth it once I got home and was able to dress her up!  I just got 2 tees, for now...but there were SO many I liked, I'm sure I'll end up picking up a few more for her.

As you can see, it's big on her (size small)...but, she's pretty thin, so she'll grow into it

(it says 'Little Pupcake')

Here's the other one I got for the little tough girl, it's cute on her too...but pink really is her signature color

Today's blog is a short, but sweet one.  We've got a visitor this weekend, so I've gotta run for now.  Hope you're all having a great weekend...'See ya' tomorrow!

  1. I love chihuahuas (I have two- one of them is a rescue from Mindi) I am telling you, she is so adorable. She looks like a little fuzzy chick to me. And your other babies are precious too. I wish I had a chihuahua ranch. I would rescue them all. Alas, I am grounded by my husband from more doggies. I guess someone in the family has to exercise restraint because it wouldn't be me. :)

  2. A chihuahua ranch sounds FUN!
I love Fiona too..more and more every day. She reminds me of my Sweet Pea. She was rescue Bichon mix who was pretty sickly a lot of her life, and just like Fiona, despite how miserable her medical issues made her, it never changed her sweet, easy-going disposition...perhaps that is just the gratitude of a rescued dog? Taking care of little Fiona reminds me of my little girl that I miss so much that I've even slipped and called her Sweet Pea a few times, lol!
