She's Got Moxie!

WOW!  Here we are...it's now been 30 days since Fiona was busted out of cing-cing.  Seems like it's been longer only because she is progressing SO quickly!  I haven't been fostering for very long but, so far, this little girl came to us the sickest, but she has also come around the fastest.  All she did was sleep the first 2 weeks and all that R&R has definitely paid off...

Last time you saw her she was looking pretty good, let me refresh your memory..
Here she is on June 3rd --------------->

Annnnndddd, (drum roll, please...)

here she is TODAY--1 month out of the shelter

Her coat is soft everywhere...NO more rough, scaly patches.  Seldom is her skin pink or irritated and she has hair growing everywhere now!  In some places, it's just puppy fuzz...but, it's hair nonetheless!

LOOK at the cute beauty mark➚ on her left leg! She has cute little marks like this one all over. (This was taken 2 days ago...so much hair has grown in just 2 days)

She really has come so far in just one month...

And the personality of this girl....OMG, she has us in stitches all the time.  I hope I've captured some of her silly, free spirit in these videos so that maybe she'll make you chuckle too!

She has this funny, pouty, chortle she does when things don't go her way.  This video is kinda dark, because it was just before we went off to bed---but, here you see her very frustrated with Vito because SHE wants to play now and he is completely ignoring her...too busy grooming himself before bed.  Turn the volume up!

I've mentioned she is QUITE the flirt.  She loves my roommate, her foster Pop, Sean soooo much.  He gets kisses all the time.  I rarely do!  She also loves boy dogs...but does NOT want anything to do with girl dogs.  Fergie briefly visited last weekend and Fiona was not at all friendly towards her.  The last time Fergie was here there were no problems because little Fiona was still feeling crummy and had no energy for attitude.  THIS time, Fiona had to hang out in her crate for about 10 minutes while Fergie was here.

OK...can you see the Diva's big old crocodile tear (click on the image to enlarge) in this picture?  This little girl cries actual TEARS when she is upset about something...or in this case, just intensely irritated with the other girl in the house.  I've never seen a dog cry tears...have you?
Perhaps this behavior will change after she is spayed...?

Since she's been feeling better, she hasn't been at all happy about having to crate when we leave the house.  IN fact, she has figured out how to up zip the 'door' to her Princess Lair to free herself!  Fortunately, she is very well behaved OUT of the crate when left alone.  She isn't the least bit destructive and she is perfectly quiet--OooO, except she will get into the trash, so she can't have access to that.  I just confine her and Raleigh to the hallway and my bedroom when I'm gone and everything is just peachy-keen!  She sleeps beautifully in her crate at bedtime still, thank goodness!

And as you saw a few blogs back...she loves to play!  She spends most of her time running around, playing with all the boys.  This video here shows her mostly with Vito...but often, all the of the Chis are playing together, and sometimes Raleigh, my dachshund, gets in on the fun too!  What once was 'Ally's Chihuahua Haven' is now 'Ally's Chihuahua Romper Room'!  It's so cute to watch!  Here's another little video...enjoy!

And then...the aftermath, MY favorite part...

Here are just a few more pics of the pretty girl with her best buddies, out and about...

I'm so glad you all made it back to check in on Fiona!  As you can see she is healing and growing hair very quickly!  She is, however, still being medicated and needing baths twice a week.  The wonderful Mindi Memel and La Dolce Vita Rescue are working very hard to make sure she gets everything she needs...if you can donate even $10, it would be a big help!!

Thanks so much for Following Fiona!!  We'll see you again very soon ♥
(xoxo, from Fiona ♥)
